The double bed and pillows were uncomfortable

The room was great. The staff were nice.

Ours was a 1-night stay on our final night in Scotland, and we had to leave early the next morning for the airport. There was a snafu regarding parking. My booking.com communication said nothing about where the parking facility would be, and because of our bags and the traffic that afternoon, we had trouble getting to the hotel. It turns out to be a 16-minute walk from the hotel - which is pretty far away. But the main problem was that, despite our discussion about it with the afternoon staff, when I asked about the parking validation in the morning to get the promised discount, the person at the desk said that he didn't know anything about how to do it. My cost to park there (about 14-15 hours or so) was 25.00 pounds. So, my parking discount didn't get applied.

My wife and myself visit Edinburgh at least twice per year and stay at various 4-5 star hotels . After reading the reviews of Le Monde and knowing if its location we was really looking forward to our 2 night stay. However on arrival we was allocated a rear hotel room ( Milan) despite booking a deluxe executive room, the bed was a standard double , the lighting system required a phd to work it out but worst of all the room backed into a service road and several bars, nightclubs . There was no secondary glazing so we did not get to sleep until after 2am and was then woken at 5am with deliveries which lasted until gone 7.30am! We did complain the following morning and was given ear plugs!….. This is for a room we paid over £820 for 2 nights! The breakfast was very limited in choice and it took over 35 mins from ordering to arrival despite there being only one other couple at breakfast, plus they forgot to put a poached egg on my plate? The manager has the personality of a plant pot and despite us seeing him on many occasions never once said hello or asked us if we was enjoying our stay? It’s a shame as the location is great and the hotel has all the ingredients to be a top hotel, however there are far better options and we will not be back!….. Terrible nights sleep and customer service!

Location, bar, afternoon tea, cocktails, good breakfast, staff very helpful.

My room needed attention, ceilings cracked, floor noisy.

Amazing experience! A group of 11 of us had a cocktail making class last weekend as part of a Hen Party. It was a fab experience and we talked about it as one of the highlights of our trip. The staff member we had was amazing - very knowledgeable, accommodating for girls who weren't drinking, and a great laugh - so a massive thanks from all of us to CJ!! Would definitely recommend and will be back for a drink next time I visit Edinburgh!

Location, location location, staff were so helpful and friendly, housekeeping was clean & tidy. No issues with getting in & out the room with the card 😅

Room we stayed in (Berlin on 3rd floor) was a bit tired and dated. Couldn’t get to grips with the control panels which controlled the lighting for the room as the rubber buttons were worn and lettering had worn off, temperamental flush button on the loo and the shade on the bedside lamp was broken.

Rooms were individually designed to a high specification!

Construction 🚧 site view, early start and noise of it , but once thats done I'm sure it will be brilliant
