The staff and management are all warm, welcoming and helpful. It has it's own charm, that some may like.

We didn't like the damp walls and flaking paint. The windows that didn't close and banged constantly with the gusting wind at night. The old fittings and furniture in the unit needs an update so do the pictures of the rooms on the website.

The location was great! Near to all amenities. A short stroll to the beach.

The stairs to the room but there is an option for a ground floor room but then you lose the view from the terrace.

Accommodation was fine, but the wind from the door panel was extremely beyoung because my fiance got flue due to the wind coming from The door. And the wind allowedue to the level of not understing how is that possible. But the condition did nont allow us to say anything .. the room for Improvement is there.

Le Bay Lodge is centrally located in Gordon's Bay, with easy access to the scenic Clarence Drive Mountain Pass in the East, and Strand and Somerset West in the West. The lodge is very quiet, during the day and night. The rooms and baths are older, but make up for it with great mattresses and excellent showers. The premises have a restaurant and bar. There are braai (bbq) faciliites for guests to use as well. The staff are lovely and friendly, and very caring. We only stayed one night but would be happy to visit there again.
