Carnmore Hotel Takapuna

We needed two connected rooms and the hotel was able to accomodate this request at the very last minute which we were really grateful for. The staff we dealt with were very pleasant and easy to deal with. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for a good overnight stay. I would stay here again.

I wasn't too keen on the fact that there was no curtain/door on the shower which means that the floor can get quite wet. Also, don't forget to close the roller blinds in the bathroom at night, otherwise you will be on full display. But the hotel does warn you of this :)

Clean, good sized rooms. Fitted out with some bowls etc for small meals.

Staff very pleasant.

I booked the room because of the spa bath and Netflix. The Netflix was not working in that room (staff tried for 45 min) to rectify it, but it would not work. There was no other room available with a spa and Netflix. I would have done without the Netflix if there were other decent TV channels available.... but there were none, just TV 1 2 and 3 and You Tube. I told the staff I was not interested in staying and was given a full refund. Disappointing that the rooms facilities on offer were not prechecked.

Was upgraded to a larger room which was well furnished and equipped. Bed was comfortable and showerroom was spacious. Kitchenette had a toaster and microwave which we did not use as we were only there for one night and had breakfast at a nearby friend's home.

Nothing to dislike

Lovely rooms, very clean , A+

Our only negative would be a but noisy from road traffic, but traffic was light due to being a weekend, might be louder during the week I suspect but other wise A+

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and so quiet. Bathrooms were a updated and the products delightful. A very tranquil experience. Our second time staying here. We will return!

Location was great if you frequent Northshore or the hospital
