Radisson RED Oslo City Centre, A Verified Net Zero Hotel

Hotel location and check in were great. These team members were excellent. The room was small-ish, which was to be expected and was totally fine. The mattresses were much softer than we were used to. An odd note is that there were wooden thresholds (one in the hotel hallway and one between our bathroom and main room) that I continuously tripped on or stubbed my toes. The room said there was a safe, but we never did find it (nor did we bother to ask.) When I checked in, I verified that our reservation was for 3 nights since I extended the stay by one additional night. The check in team confirmed it and also said that they would ensure we wouldn't have to change rooms. I thought nothing more of it. On Sunday the front desk person calls the room at 1pm and rather abruptly asks if we are leaving anytime soon since we missed check out. I explained our extended stay, and she said she had no record of it. I checked my reservations and - this was completely my fault - I booked the extended night at the Park Inn Oslo Airport mistakenly. I explained this to her and asked if there was room at the hotel yet for Sunday night. She said there was but was so rude and treated us like we were derelicts that we decided to check out and make our way to the airport location. It was disappointing, as we'd planned on spending the afternoon and evening exploring the city. I completely own up to my mistake, but there was no reason for this representative to behave in such a manner.

The room was ok but we were looking a brick wall! There are no closets or drawers. Our shower was not well cleaned. The towels were skimpy. I was surprised. The carpets in the hall were dirty, no Art anywhere. The info given by the front desk clerks was wrong a number of times. It was well-located Breakfast had a variety of choices but eggs were cold.

The hotel reception were very welcoming and helpful and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. I really appreciated being able to store our bags there after checking out.

Friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Decent breakfast buffet. Our "standard" room was simply but pleasantly decorated but not quite large enough, and it lacked a closet. I suspect that the promised king size bed was a queen. At that, the bathroom door opened only part way because it ran into the bed. When we sat on the bed we sank into it, but it proved surprisingly comfortable for sleeping. Notwithstanding design flaws in the room, the room was adequate and the hotel's location was good - not right next to anything but not that far from various sights.

It was simply amazing and front desk girl "LIV" went out of her way to help us.
