Klein balkon zonder afdak

De ruime kamer met alle faciliteiten, koelkast, fornuis, waterkoker , bestek etc. Goed bed. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Vriendelijk staf en goed restaurant. Dat is ook wel nodig want in Ponta Delgada is verder niets. Op 10 autominuten is Sao Vincente en daar is een kleine, leuke boulevard met winkeltjes, restaurants, bakker en patisserie.

Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und geräumig. Das Abendessen war vorzüglich.

Die Lage ist ein wenig abgeschieden aber mit einem Mietauto gut erreichbar.

The view from location itself is stunning. Hearing the ocean waves and that landscape, wow! We had a small balcony on which we had breakfast in the morning. The apartment was perfectly clean, spacious, it came with some essentials (eg salt and pepper, dishwashing detergent, sufficient pans for cooking). We haven’t used the pool area, but it seemed very nice. The location is very good to explore the north of the island, as it is centrally located. Sufficient space for parking. There is a bar open during the day where you can have a meal/snack.

All in all, this felt a bit too expensive for what we got. We paid literally half of the price for a hotel in the south west, which provided more. For example, it would have been nice to have some additional basic things provided, eg towels for the pool/beach, oil for cooking, shampoo and shower gel, etc. However, looking at prices in the north, it seemed to be the average as there seems to be less accommodations in general. The reception was mostly closed, so we didn’t have the chance to ask for recommendations or other things we might have needed. The bed was 2 single beds pushed together, so not ideal for a couple.

The apartments are in a lovely setting around a pool. It is a very relaxing place to sit and read, listening to the birdsong and watching the lizards scoot about. The owners and their assistant Natalie are lovely. The cafe is open 15h00 to 20h00 and serves local cuisine. Everywhere is spotless and the owner keeps the shrubbery looking perfect.

Mostly, we liked everything. The apartment had a rustic feel, which was fine for us. It was in the older building, so if you want modern, ask for one in the newer block. We found the bed too hard for us. The complex is probably not on main drainage as there was a wiff in the bathroom. Keeping plugs in seemed to work. I am not a cook, but the kitchenette might have been a challenge if I'd wanted to produce a full meal. Perfectly fine for snacks though. There were a few places to eat in the village, including a pizza/burger cafe if you prefer international food.

Appartement grand propre, vue magnifique. Pas de ménage en 4j mais poubelles et serviettes changées quotidiennement sauf dimanche. Stationnement facile .

Pas de lave linge . Réception toujours fermée. Il faut laisser couler l'eau au moins 5 minutes avant d'avoir de l'eau chaude.

The position of the apartment was superb with lovely views of the pool and the sea from the balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and bar were an added bonus.
