location was good and convenient for travelling. Since it is in the town center shopping was convenient, good place to stay.

I requested a river view room from the date off booking. I was not provided with the requested room. Every time they said its too early but on the of check in day they said not available.

Sadly the beds were incredibly soft and very uncomfortable, possibly made worse as I had back pain prior to staying.

Lovely old fashioned room, nice and warm on a cold November night. Right in the town centre. The hotel also has a good pub inside.

When I arrived, I realised the room didn’t have a bath as listed. However, the woman on reception moved me to another room as soon as I raised the issue. She couldn’t have been more helpful and talked me through breakfast options. The pub itself is lovely and if you want dinner, it’s great!

The windows are single glazed - some of them have a secondary window to slide across that helps but not all of them and it was still pretty noisy even with them as it’s right in centre of town and rooms at the front have smoking/outside seating area below. They told me they are getting new windows in a couple of weeks though so this should improve!
