Wacky hot water system. One shower available every 30 mins as water had to heat up again !

Perfect location for a local event we attend

Very homely and comfortable. Nice to have the hotel and amenities close by.

Property seemed a bit tired compared to last time. The bed base was broken, we changed it around ourselves, but no one seemed to bothered. Radiator dangerously hanging onto the bathroom wall by a screw thread. Was also scalding hot.

The location, staff, and facilities

Great location near walks, hotel restaurant and pool. Large, spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen. Lovely big rooms and comfy beds. Very clean. Nice views across the river. Having sinks in the bedroom was really helpful. The food in the restaurant was really nice, with a couple of veggie options. Staff were all really helpful and friendly.

We gave feedback at reception that 1 medium saucepan and 3 very small ones meant cooking for a group of adults was more fiddly that it needed to be. Hopefully a couple of large pans have been added. Not a negative as such but we hadn't noticed, in the information provided, that the bedrooms were down a steep step of stairs so may not work for people with restricted mobility. While very clean (other than 2 oily frying pans which hadn't been checked or washed), the property we rented smelled very strongly of dog. We understood dogs were permitted and, while we do love dogs, we had windows open on a cool evening for several hours as the smell was overpowering.. Even two days later the apartment still smelled of dog. Not sure if this was a one off though.
