Food choices a bit limited for gluten-free diet

The location is amazing, the views are stunning! The people working there are super nice, they walked us to the hot springs and they sent us a taxi to come back. We also did a massage which we liked (45usd per person). Breakfast and food in general is very good, we tried hamburger of alpaca for dinner and it was delicious! The room itself is a dream with the view and the bathroom is beautiful, well equipped with a big shower with hot water.

One small complaint concerns the lack of communication options during the night. My partner experienced indigestion, likely due to the altitude, and we tried to contact reception via WhatsApp but were unable to reach anyone. We were hoping to get some hot beverages to help, especially since there is no kettle or tea/mate available in the room, which we found unusual compared to other hotels in Peru. There is also no in-room phone with a direct line to reception. Although we were told that reception is open 24/7, we didn’t feel comfortable walking there in the middle of the night, as the location is quite remote and very dark. Improving nighttime accessibility, either by ensuring responsiveness on WhatsApp, providing an in-room phone, or offering basic amenities like a kettle—would make a significant difference to guest comfort.

Very beautiful views from room and balcony. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Free water bottles provided daily. Excellent breakfast and good coffee. Hiking trails behind hotel lead to the wonderful Uyo Uyo Archeological Site and thermal baths. I loved this place.

Killawasi is located on the outskirts of this very small town. It’s a 5 minute walk to the town square. The location is beautiful! Views of the mountains, lots of gardens. It’s a quiet oasis. Our room was fantastic— lovely patio with flowers all around and very comfortable seating. The beds were very comfortable. Shower was great. Everything was well done and the staff was very nice. We were here 3 nights and enjoyed relaxing here.
