Folly Hotel

Disappointed in breakfast in room as it was only for first day of a 3 stay. Location was good.

An extra chair in the room and a small table would be good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast, but they left us a basket full with food and snacks and small fridge with milk and cheese. Beautiful location in old fire station, near the beach and short walk to the high street with nice pubs, restaurants and stores.

Small room so not suitable for long stays. the doors don't block noises and you can hear anyone walking in the hall past the room.

Great welcome and brilliant location . The basket of snacks in the room was a very welcome addition , the Tunnoch’s Tea Cake on the pillow was class.

Nothing to complain about

Not much to be honest.

They can't call this a hotel at best it's a B&B and that's stretching it. When we arrived at 2.00 they were closed. We had to phone them to make sure we were actually booked in they said they didn't open until check in time at 3.00. We only saw one member of staff when we checked and didn't see anyone else not even when we left in the morning. Continental breakfast was a waste of time. It's a very basic place in great need of a refurbishment throughout very shabby. Unfortunately this was the only place we could get booked into at least it gave us an insight and wouldn't book again. Not very welcoming vibes at all.

Great seaside location with easy access to Edinburgh, facilities, and comfort

The only complaints would be a lack of orange juice in the otherwise excellent breakfast pack, and the shower had limited power.

The hotel’s facilities and location were excellent, and the added touch of complimentary snacks and an in-room fridge was a nice bonus.

The hotel feels a bit dated and would benefit from some light refurbishment and general maintenance. With that said, I would stay again.
