The Tryst Beachfront Hotel

Location on beach is excellent. Ocean is warm and pleasant, though at times a bit rough. Most gay bars are easily accessible from the hotel, either walking or a quick uber ride. Beach service, loungers, umbrella, towels, tables, and bottles of water are included and excellent. The beach restaurant has decent food, excellent drinks and professional service. Sunday drag brunch is not to be missed, it was super fun. Rooms are basic but workable, view is beautiful.

Only issue we encountered was hot water in showers was not always available at peak times.

I loved that the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were welcomed by the Hotel manager at our room with a complimentary Holiday drink. My favorite two people were Angel at the front desk and the bartender, Richie. They were both so very nice, attentive and accommodating.

Our toilet kept clogging and it took a while for someone to come and unclog it just to turn around and have it clog again.

It was clean

1. The rooms and the bathrooms are small opposed to what they advertise online. 2. The hotel is for gay couples and that’s all you see walking around the hotel and on the beach. We felt very uncomfortable as a result of not knowing that prior to booking. 3. The waitresses were very racist. If you are black they treat you as if you’re “broke” and undeserving of the same treatment and privileges as they would treat other cultures including their own. 4. Angel at the front desk, I must admit was one of the only employees that we felt like made us feel great about our stay. He has a beautiful spirit inside and out! 5. The guys who bring out the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach, walked up to us and said, we hate to break you the bad news but these chairs are only for hotel desks. (Again, the racial profiling is insane). Meanwhile, we booked 2 separate rooms during our stay). Unfortunately, after we explained to the guys we were guest, and showed them our room keys they never apologized and took forever assisting us with getting the additional beach chairs and umbrellas we requested. 6. They really need to incorporate “arm bands” for their hotel guests to prevent such behaviors from happening again.

Ambience and location. The staff was good, friendly and attentive. The hotel was in a great location and literally on the beach. The food was good. Great bar. Room had a fabulous view

Only one waste basket. No tissues in room. Hot water was spotty.

Location was great and staff were super nice.

The bathroom is very very small. Washbasin area was super small.
