Thermen Bad Nieuweschans

Sehr schöne und neue Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Der Wellnessbereich ist riesig und man kann hier wirklich viel Zeit verbringen. Die Anlage ist insgesamt sehr gepflegt und weitläufig.

Leider etwas wenig Licht im Zimmer und kaum Möglichkeiten Handtücher oder Bademantel aufzuhängen. Essen und Getränke sind eher hochpreisig und nicht unbedingt gerechtfertigt. Im Wellnessbereich hätte ich mir mehr Möglichkeiten zum Ausruhen gewünscht. Die Ruheräume waren belegt oder sehr unruhig, da offen zum Saunabereich.

This is not the first time we have been to this spa, and we always enjoy the saunas and the open air warm water pools. The environment is wonderful, the whole facility is located in a large park.

We were a bit disappointed to learn upon our arrival that the large external thermal water pool with very salty water was under renovation, therefore we could not enjoy it.

The mineral water and the original pool was lovely as always. Will be interesting to see how the renovations turn out. They kept the beautiful gardens, but the new updates felt claustrophobic and not thought out well. The new indoor rest area by the indoor pool for instance was humid, noisy and up stairs. Not restful at all but cold and noisy...

I have been to this spa before the renovations and it was a charming location. The construction was not clear on the booking.com site nor on the site, not mentioned when I spoke to staff about my visit. When we checked in the pool we came to visit was CLOSED, it has very special jets thdt massage different parts of the body. What a loss they are removing this. The entire facility was drafty and cold, the temporary lockers provided has dirt and mold in them, the bathroom in our hotel smelled like old fish, and then in general there was many details that just lost the sparkle, we were not offered the complimentary drink like other guests at check in, we needed to ask for every basic thing, every basic step, and it depreciated the quality of our stay. It was overcrowded due to the construction with few places for people to rest and it was chilly in the public spaces.

Onrustig door bouwwerkzaamheden. De prijzen zijn afgelopen tijd erg gestegen. Eén glas gemiddelde wijn voor € 8,00 is erg stevig in vergelijking met de gemiddelde horeca.
