Thayers Inn was a wonderful surprise! We booked a family room for our children on our way to Santas Village for the night. We got takeout and enjoyed it in the room. The beds were comfortable, the room had good space and the charm was palpable. Yes there are steep stairs and need to be vigilant with kids but lovely, beautiful inn and cant wait to return. Breakfast was continental and it was just enough. Cute hot cocoa bar for the kids! The staff were amazing! CHarming and friendly and patient with little ones.

I loved the historical aspect of the hotel. Along with the convenience of location to be able to walk to every thing on the main strip. I also liked the restaurant that is attached. My room had character and hard wood floors. Which was amazing as I am highly allergic to carpet.

Very quaint, this being one of the oldest establishment on the town, it kept his look and charm throughout the years

The room we had was at the front of the property, so being a corner room and having single panel windows meant 1) cold ( the only heat source is a small electric heater and has to be manually started). 2) light pollution (the big neon sign is right next to the window, so it is bright in there… bring an eye mask). And 3) the noise, pretty much no sound proofing, you can ear pretty much everything outside so bring earbuds! The hot water will take a good 5 minutes before reaching the shower, this is a century property so this was expected.
