Loch Melfort Hotel

There is a step off the deck that is very hard to discriminate from the actual deck and I had a nasty fall on it. It should be painted with a line so you can see it. It’s dangerous and I have a sore rib and ankle now unfortunately.

The location, views and surroundings are outstanding

We stayed for 2 nights. On arrival, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We went to our room which was a king-size sea view. The view is even better than any picture will have you believe. Breathtaking. Loved having a little balcony with comfortable chairs and just enjoying the view and silence. The room was spotless. On the 2nd day, the cleaners chapped the door and asked if we wanted anything cleaned or if any of the tea/coffee/teacakes needed replenished. This was a nice thing to do. The bed was massive and comfortable. The bedding itself was a great quality. The shower was always hot and a good power too. Great shampoos etc in the room to try. The grounds are well cared for and we enjoyed walks by the highland cows and down to the seafront. The meals were all great. Portions are huge. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was one of the best i’ve ever had and locally sourced. Reception staff also gave some advice for a place to go a nice walk and we enjoyed a day out in Kilmartin as a result. Overall, I cannot say a bad word or complain about any detail. Superb all round and we’ll be back at the earliest opportunity.
