Loch Melfort Hotel

This hotel had everything we wanted, a great location, a nice modern room, a beautiful view, lovely food and great staff. We stayed on the ground floor of the lodges and really enjoyed our time here. We enjoyed going down to the water and we even went swimming from the beach. From everywhere you get a fantastic view and the hotel is well designed to make the most of it. The food was one of our favourite things dinner and breakfast were a highlight.

Third time staying here. It’s a lovely place, all the staff are fantastic (there’s a lovely girl originally from Falkirk that was a good laugh and had great banter), the food is amazing (pay extra for the dinner package as the value is exceptional), the rooms are spacious and the beds are huge, the views are superb and the wildlife is right up close and personal. My two gripes would be the service charges (just add a few pence to the drinks, the food or the room) and the lack of international lager on tap, the Loch Melfort lager (just call it Tennents) is passable but something else would have suited me personally, the other half had the choice of about 30 gins and she was chuffed to bit so I was happy. Neither of these will stop us returning and we’ll be back soon. Thank you to all the staff, the owners should be extremely proud.
