Lovely quiet location but just a small walk from town. Everything needed within a short stroll. Friendly host and all required amenities are available.

Excellent stay, very clean and comfortable with lovely attention to detail. Conveniently located near shops and restaurants.

Avalon House is perfect! Rooms are beautiful and spotless. Breakfast is amazing. Easy walking distance to town center and the train is easily accessible to go to nearby villages. Tom is a fantastic host and we are looking forward to seeing him again soon!

Avalon House B&B is 5 star plus. I would highly recommend. The beautiful home is spotless clean . The breakfast caters for all taste with an extensive menu. The proprietor Tom is friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and would not go anywhere else unless they were full. The location is walking distance to the town with restaurants and bars.Thanks again Tom for a lovely stay.

Excellent stay. Tom sent all the information I needed to find his B&B and all checking in was done online prior to arrival. The house and lodging are beautifully clean and maintained, gardens are gorgeous, breakfast choices are outstanding. I’d stay again if I’m back in the area.

Welcoming and homely. What a delightful and charming B&B. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful attic room which was spotlessly clean. I only managed a cooked breakfast one morning, which was a shame as the food was lovely. Great location just a short walk into town. Would certainly stay again if next in Carlow.

While visiting in Carlow I chose this B&B because of its many well deserved good reviews. and it’s close proximity to Carlow town. My opinion of it It is that it is of 4 star hotel quality. From its meticulously maintained inside to its beautiful pictures, paintings and furnishings to its homely feel it could give any 4 star hotel a run for its money. No expense spared - a very good breakfast menu to suit all pallets and a very generous amount. Absolutely great value for money . Nicely decorated well heated bedroom with an array of nice toiletries - comb, dental , washables etc. equipped with a great sound quality TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Room was serviced every day to the highest standard. Tom was a marvellous host and I very much enjoyed our conversations during my stay. Highlight of my stay was getting a history and tour of the fabulous Christmas decorations meticulously placed throughout every corner of his lovely home that have very obviously been lovingly collected throughout many years . It was a sight to behold and gave the house a great Christmas feel. All in all a lovely stay and I’ll be back for sure. Thanks Tom.

We had a lovely time in Avlon House. It is super clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was really delicious with a great variety of options. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly. We would highly recommend staying here and will most certainly be back!!!

Excellent B and B. Beautiful house, great amenities and only 5/ 10 minute walk into town and train station. The breakfast choices were numerous and all delicious. Tom is very attentive and knowledgeable of the area and ensures that the guests needs are met. Would recommend.
