Friendly hosts and a calm setting overlooking Funchal

Everything was good, but expect to do some climbing if you want to walk there from the city. The road is steep.

Sehr sehr leckeres Frühstück, schöne Ausblick durch Fenster; und gemütliche Balkon. Bett war bequem. Sehr schöne Unterkunft.

Badezimmer war Mega kalt und Fenster ging nicht zu.

It would be good a small fridge in the room. The walls are weary thin de we heated the neighbors. But it’s all god. The breakfast was the same alllll the days. Scrambled eggs and sausage and some cheese. But the stunning view made up for it.

The breakfast provided a wide range of continental options with cereals, fruit, cheese, ham, choice of sliced bread and range of bread rolls. A coffee machine provided coffee options. The manager provided scrambled eggs for us as well. The balcony provided a view of the sea and was surrounded by trees, garden and shrubs so was a very pleasant aspect. The breakfast room was a large space with a range of tables spread out so visitors could have privacy if they preferred. There was also a bookcase with a range of books that travellers could borrow if they wished. I travelled in the off season, so it wasn't so busy but did meet a few other travellers which made it more enjoyable. The lady manager was personable and kind so that always adds to a good atmosphere.

The water for the shower took about 2-3 minutes to get hot, but did get hot eventually. As the saying goes, "All good comes to those who wait"! I used a Bolt uber to get to the property as it was difficult to access from the Old Town according to Google Maps. Although based on the steep hills of Monte, it is possible to walk straight down hill to get to the town in about 10 minutes.

Es war sehr süß gestalten und angenehm!

Unterkunft war super!! Nur dahin geht es steilauf und wieder runter, man geht da locker 40min und das nimmt viel Energy Haha
