the staff and the food were very good

the room was really poor and we should have moved or got a refund. The room was a duplex suite but was like an airless glass box dependent on airconditioning throughout. Even the "sundeck" was not exposed to the air.

I booked a room with queen bed and they gave me one with a twin bed instead. The room was not at all what I expected from what I originally booked.

The hotel is in a very nice part of town, with many great restaurants and parks within walking distance. The breakfast was simple; fresh fruit and yogurt and assorted pastries/breads. The overall design and feel is good; it's very comfortable in the public spaces in the lobby. The staff was friendly. I like the attention to detail of the room.

The room we had was very small, with small windows, not allowing much light into the room. I thought it was a lot to pay for such a small room. The bedding and pillows weren't luxe like one should expect at this hotel for the price. And, the Nespresso only had decaf coffee. We asked for regular coffee and were told they didn't have it for the room. We had purchased the breakfast option, so we were able to get coffee in the bar and bring it to our room.

The location of the Brick was excellent! Right off the main road with all the restaurants and shops. Plenty of museums and parks within walking distance. The hotel staff were kind and helpful; I scheduled a massage for the Hela spa one day and the service was great! The nightly turndown service with Mexican cookies was a pleasant surprise. Room service was also excellent!

For the price of our room and the marketing of it being part of the “small luxury hotels of the world” group, we were expecting much more. Our deluxe room had a terrace facing the street, and there was ZERO soundproofing; you could hear every single noise outside. One morning there was a business conference in the open-air restaurant and we had to listen to speakers talking from 7am-noon. We should have realized that when we saw the ear plugs on the night stand. The bathroom area was very, very small, and dated - peeling paint and dirty sink caulking. The TV is marketed as a smart TV, but the system was dated and very complicated and the only option was Netflix.

Very stylish design, hugely comfortable beds, sheets were amazing. Lovely bathroom. Well equipped wardrobe and rooms. Nice little touches like lots of courtesy water which is great. Lots of towels which is also great.

Very slight issue with water flooding the bathroom a bit but not a huge issue. More hooks near the sinks to hang towels could also be good. Windows could have some privacy screen.

great place in a great location, would have been nice if staff explained all the hotel amenities and options. staff was very nice and pleasant

Location and service were excellent. Room was very nice, with excellent bed and bathroom. We were upgraded to a duplex suite, which was very nice.

The air conditioning wasn't strong enough to cool the room during the unseasonal heat.
