Yogo Inn

We were in town for my cousins wedding that started at 4 pm on Saturday. We showed up to the hotel around 1:30ish thinking we would be able to check in. I went up to the front counter and the guy never acknowledged me what so ever. I had to ask if I could check in and he rudely told me “No check in is at 3 pm” while starring at his computer. My sister and I went back at 2:50 pm to see if we would be able to check in 10 min early since we had a wedding to get ready for and be out there before 4 pm. We were rudely told no again and that “they can be charged $50,000 fine if they let people check in earlier.. then he proceeds to tell us that our mother just called and complained.” After we told him it wasn’t our mother. Not sure what he was talking about. We waited around and went back at 3 pm there was a LONG line of guests waiting to get checked in. Every time we would look back there was more and more coming into the door, pictures are in comments.. We hustled as much as we could to get checked into our room and get ready to get to the wedding. I will say it was a very stressful 20 min trying to get ready. My sister was just at the hotel, two weeks prior and they were able to check in earlier. I felt the customer service was awful and I will not be spending my money there again. I will not be saying good things about this hotel.

Mary G was a doll. She was very helpful and sweet checking us in late at night. She helped us move to a new room when the a/c didn't work in the first one. She was very quick to respond and make the situation right. She provided a toothbrush and was managing the phone at the same time. Good job Mary!! We had a pleasant breakfast experience in the cafe as well. Maybe skip the lemon juice in the mickey mouse pancakes from now on. Other than that our stay was A ok!

When making our reservation, we were specifically told we could arrive early so that our children could use the pool before we headed out to the Charlie Russell dinner train. We chose the Yogo Inn solely because of the indoor heated pool. Upon arrival, less than an hour earlier than 3:00 check-in, we were rudely told that we could not check-in early and that we could 'absolutely NOT' use the pool. I posted a comment to their Facebook page and messaged them immediately. I was offered an apology for the miscommunication, but not the rudeness. The reason given for not allowing the use of the pool until check-in was due to insurance and liability reasons. Nonetheless, our children were very disappointed. At 3:00 the line for check-in was out the door. Other guests said they had been told the reason was because the rooms had to be 'double cleaned'. We waited until 9:00 the next morning to use the pool, only to find that it was not heated. Our children wanted to use the pool so much that they swam for about 30 minutes before we made them get out because they were shivering. Other parents shared their same disappointment. We checked out early and noticed other families were checking out early as well. Upon check-out, we were not even asked how our stay had been. I received a follow-up email, however, with a link for this review so I thought I'd share. The hotel is clean and safe, but next time we'll choose a cabin in the area that better suits our family's needs.
