South Pacific Resort Hotel

Resort located in an excellent location with typical amenities found at a resort. Resort service very good and people generally warm and welcoming. Package deals with combined airfare and accommodation very good value. Highly recommend Norfolk Island as a place to relax and escape from the Rat race and daily technology interruptions.

The rooms and common facilities were very spacious and comfortable. Very quiet. Nice green surroundings. Eateries and shops were only a few minutes walk away. It's a place for relaxing and as a base for sightseeing. There is no nightclub or entertainment at night, but that suits me exactly. I think thumping music would spoil the ambience.

We were all upgraded to nice big rooms that were good for lunch or cards together at night. But our room was not serviced fully each day, bed unmade and towels left some days. Staff were great though

We arrived to be greeted with a welcoming cool drink. I thought this a nice touch. The hotel is not 5 star, but then we didn't pay for 5 star. It is a well run comfortable hotel located close to the main shopping strip on the Island. It was within strolling distance RSL and other eateries. Rooms were clean and ours had a nice outlook from the verandah. The Hotel had a nice pool and breakfast good. Would recommend to everyone.

Norfolk Island is very power conservation conscious using diesel generators and solar power so air conditioning is very scarce. As for as I know none of the motels are air conditioned, ours certainly wasn't and it was very uncomfortable as a result. The room would have benefited a little from the inclusion of a ceiling fan (at least) Humidity is very high (82% lowest reading during stay) which made it feel hotter than it was. There are a number of restaurants on the island however in all honesty I cannot recommend them, having 'mainland type restaurant' prices but with lesser food quality, and there is only one place on the entire island that serves a decent cup of coffee.

Room was very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff arranged rental car for me and were helpful with tours and holding luggage. Hotel is a good location for walking into town; grounds are beautiful and well kept and a pleasing swimming pool is available on hot days.
