Fab night here as the first part of our North Coast 500 tour with Louis the Labrador. Helpful and fun staff. The breakfast was the best - eaten in the lounge overlooking the garden.

Coul House is a gem of a hotel - a real country house experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and is set in lovingly tended grounds, which lead to various tracks and estate roads which are perfect for walking. The food is exceptional and we had the best steak and lamb that we have tasted for a very long time! The chef is talented and presents food that is seasonal, full of flavour, very well presented but not pretentious in any way. Everything we ate was wonderful...and the breakfast continued that theme with a great range of choices and local produce. We were able to take our dog into our room, and all public rooms except the dining room, which was a great bonus. Staff were without exception very professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I thoroughly recommend Coul House and we really wished we could have stayed longer. ( VERY long walks would have been required to walk off all the lovely food though!)
