Hi Valley Motor Inn

Staff I dealt with were friendly and courteous. The room was recently renovated - carpet removed and laminate installed, freshly painted and clean. Bathroom is old but functional and clean. Bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Very quiet where my room was. Heater/air conditioner worked well but did blow on the bed which I rectified by moving the bed. Fridge worked fine. TV didn’t work but was quickly fixed when I mentioned it. The property is old and could use a facelift at the entrance. I felt it was value received for what I paid.

Checked into 1st room (after being charged more than quoted), which was relatively clean, only to be moved to another room 5 minutes later because apparently the TV didn't work. Second room was not clean; beds were made but toilet/sink/tub were not even wiped down, and the tub drain was so full pf hair you showered in standing water. There was dirty linen and dustbunnies under beds, the second bed had a severly broken boxspring. The internet only worked about 10% of the time. Most concerning was that the main lobby doors which were locked from the inside whenever the desk clerk was away (front desk hours are from 4:30 PM to ???) so you could not exit or enter through the front door. None of the doors have keycard access. The only other exit door was a back one, which locked behind you unless you propped it open with a stick (with 3 sxrews sticking oit of it) left conveniently on the ground outside. This door also has a latch installed so it could potentially be padlocked from the outside!!!

It was easy to find off the higjway. Bland and inviting inside. Hard to know what the main lobby was.

Decent hotel. Great price.

The owners were very polite and helpful with making sure myself and my daughters stay was enjoyable

No Hot water as well as room heater was not functioning.

Terrible place to stay,lobby doors locked at night,no way in or out of main doors. Went out of room at 7 am to start vehicle and then card would not open door. Took till 1:30 pm to find someone to let me in so I could get luggage. No apologies,nothing!! Heat turned off in room on arrival,it was -25,room so cold I had to sleep with clothes and coat on. By morning it had finally warmed to about 18 in room. No one would answer the phone,left messages,no response!

Big banner on outside of building that states "Newly Renovated". It's not. When I checked in the desk clerk told me he was going to upgrade my room to a double which Idid not require as I was alone. I parked outside my room and used the outside door to go in. Upon opening the very narrow door I immediately walked into one of the beds. The was no light switch located anywhere near the door and it was dark out when I checked in. I had to use a flashlight to navigate my way through the room to the other entry where the main light switch was located. The room had not been updated in probably 15 years. The beds were made and the towels were clean but the rest of the room was disgusting. The cleanliness of the room was appalling especially when you consider we are in the midst of a pandemic. There were spills on the floor, the tv remotes were covered in some sort of residue, dead bugs and dirt wherever I looked. The floor was very cold and the heater didn't shut off once.
