Rome Airport Hotel Fiumicino

Location close to airport . Clean room . Nice selection of buffet breakfast , boiled and scrambled egg, bacon , cereals and fruits , bread . Staff (Ruel) at reception was pleasant to deal with . Staff very helpful .

Room has poor insulation . At 7:30 in the morning we heard cleaning staff dragging beds and chairs and vacuuming other room when we were still asleep (note: we had a late check in because our flight arrived late at night). They could have waited until we went out for breakfast at least .

Honestly, it was the absolute worst hotel. Dirty, refrigerator leaked all over the floor, no air conditioning in March (it was so hot), pillow cases weren’t big enough to cover pillows. Water damage on the ceiling. I didn’t sleep because the overall feel was so bad that I did not want to get under the covers and I was sweating. We were on the first floor and couldn’t keep the exterior sliding door open because someone could’ve easily jumped the wall around the balcony. When I asked the staff about it (shaved head man/round glasses). He got irritated and assertive that no hotel had a/c in March.

No a/c, wasn’t clean, overall dirty feel.

Prima hotel met in ons geval een ruime kamer met 2 verdiepingen. De kinderen konden op de 2e verdieping in een eigen slaapkamer slapen. Dat was voor ons erg prettig. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook hebben we er prima ontbeten.

We waren niet in de zomer dus de omgeving was volgens mij nog niet klaar voor toeristen. In de avond op zoek naar een restaurant voelden we ons ook veel nagekeken in de buurt. Ze bieden een vliegveld-shuttle aan tegen betaling. Voor meerdere personen is het goedkoper om een taxi te nemen.

Very spacious clean room with excellent bathroom. Nice breakfast with a lovely Italian restaurant nearby.
