Overlook Lodge and Stone Cottages at Bear Mountain

Location is beautiful, nice and quiet. Natural surroundings. Close to shopping and West point.

Quiet broken by other guest with dog. Dog whined and barked for over an hour and half. Called desk and they said the guest was not in room. The dog was left in attended which is supposedly against pet policy.

Amazing location, beautiful view and comfortable bed

There’s no hit in the room only fire place in the middle of the hall. There’s extremely cold at night and AC is on under your head in WINTER!!!!!! Delivery service is bad. We ordered cheese platter and bottle of champagne around 4:20 pm after my call they delivered only almost at 10 pm we already didn’t want to eat or drink shaking from cold trying to sleep!

Nice looking lodge, friendly staff, great location.

The rooms are quite outdated, the lodge is located over different properties, which does not invite to have a drink or bite in the main lodge.

The property was what we expected from the outside. The rooms and bathrooms, though small and showing signs of wear and tear, were clean. The beds were comfortable. Due to allergy concerns we were assured that no pets were allowed. Unfortunately we were greeted by a dog when we stepped inside the cabin’s common area. Between this and the smoke, we could not use the common area as we had planned.

The common area was really smoky due to the burning of fake logs in the fireplace and poor ventilation. Furthermore smoke infiltrated one of the two rooms we booked in the 6-room cabin. In that same room, the ultra bright exit sign and the loud adjacent furnace made it hard to fall asleep.
