Monarch Valley Inn Marina at Monterey Bay

Very disappointed. This Hotel is in a gas station. Debris everywhere. Gas station traffic all night. I didn’t feel safe. Pictures attached. I had to cancel second stay. Very disappointed ! They said breakfast included. It’s items in a bag you pick up at the gas station.

The staff were accommodating when we get there. The room is clean and spacious. Though its infront of the gasoline station and along the highway, it's very quiet once you are inside the room. For breakfast, i hope they add some more option. But our experience was great. Highly recommended. Khay from Oxnard July 4, 2025

Based off of the pictures in the listing for the hotel I wasn't expecting it to be at a gas station but I actually didn't mind it! The beds were comfy and clean, room and bathroom were also clean, hot water was instant and the to-go breakfast bags had a good variety. If I'm ever in town, I'll definitely be staying again!

Best place on budget if you are visiting Monterey Bay and Big Sur Very close to Santa Cruz as well

It was good for what we needed for our trip.

At first when I pulled up I was not sure , the property has a gas station and convent store, but the rooms are clean, comfortable bed and the service is excellent. Staff super friendly and have the gas station and store was actually very convenient.

First the lobby is attached to the gas station. Sounds odd but it’s actually great. The young man who greeted us was so incredibly nice and very informative. He pointed out where our room was and where everything was. Probably one of the best customer services I have ever experienced .

The room was nice and clean. Although I mentioned 4 to our party, there were only two towels. Extra items, you had to check back into the staff to request items. No contact number for service or check out. So this place is definitely a 3-star motel.
