The person at check in was not real welcoming and the property needs lots of updating

Sun lac was OK for the price, but was old and run down a bit. All acommendations were fine. It was clean.

Just stayed the one night. Pillow was too thick. Check in was smooth. Was not told the main door would be locked when we returned at a later time. Homey place. Good food. Small town feel.

I’ve stayed here at different times over the years. Property has been upgraded a bit so that is good. Negative aspects, no hair dryer as advertised, room was dark even with all the lights on. Positive, bed was comfortable and the bar tender really knows his stuff, drinks were great! Breakfast was awesome too and everyone was friendly.

Stayed for 4 nights while hunting in the lakota area. The hotel was kind of "rugged" but meet the needs of me and my crew. Having a bar and restaurant was a nice feature. Service was subpar unless "Luke Combs" was working. He was the man. We will be back.

Stayed there for a hunting trip, the people are very nice. The duck hunting is good in the area. It’s a older property but clean. I would discribe it as a nice dive. Lakota is a very small town without any frills.

Went on a fishing trip to devils lake I did not realize it was in Lakota until after booking it, but it worked out only 25 miles from devils lake. Rooms were clean and friendly staff, a little outdated but as to be expected from a small hotel in a small town.

Food is amazing n staff is very friendly! Great place to stop with you want some quiet time

Stayed for 7 days. Staff did not get cleaned 3 of 7 days by 3pm. Ended up having to get our own towels and emptying trash. Room needed a fresh coat of paint. Linen not exchanged entire stay. Spendy stay and lack of services overall.

Somewhat strange environment. Building feels institutional. If all you need is a clean place to sleep, it's ok, but don't expect to feel comfortable.
