Hotel Phoenix

Hotelli on erittäin rauhallinen, hotellin ulkopuolella myös hiljaista. Hotellista on jonkin verran kävelymatkaa (noin 1-1,5 km) keskustan parhaisiin ravintoloihin, mutta kävely ruokailun päätteeksi tekee vain hyvää. Järjestettyjen retkien pick-up -pysäkkejä löytyy hyvin läheltä. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen ja runsas, ja se tarjoiltiin pöytään. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällisiä ja avuliaita, kertoivat Islannista ja antoivat hyviä neuvoja. Huoneemme oli tilava ja siisti. Oli mukavaa, että paikalla oli aina henkilö.

Ainoa puute oli, että huoneessa ei ollut jääkaappia. Voisi myös olla hyvä, jos respasta saisi ostaa kylmiä juomia. Toisaalta, ihan lähellä on hyvin varusteltu 24/7 kauppa.

Well located for the main sights. 12 - 15 minute walk to the Hallgrimsonkirkja. Lovely set breakfast ( ham, cheese, granola, yoghurt, brown bread, boiled egg, tea/coffee). Very helpful staff. Good sized double room. Good value for Reykjavik.

I due signori che gestiscono l'hotel sono sempre molto disponibili e cordiali. La pulizia e la colazione sono ottime . La posizione della struttura è fantastica , nella via principale dove sono situati la maggior parte di negozi e locali .

The hotel is located very centrally in Reykjavik allowing you to reach every location on foot. The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. The owners are always happy to share their insights on where to go or to give you directions to where you need to get. The breakfast is plenty to take you a long way through the day. Definitely recommend staying there

This was a good hotel, with a good breakfast. The room was kind of cosy and clean, with good beds.

There was a somewhat awkward situation, when we felt a bit 'in the way'; not welcomed: your were not allowed to place the cups, bowls and glasses where you wanted at the breakfast table. They had 'special ruled' it was stated. Did not like that!
