Nice bed & new bathroom.

The rest of the room & kitchen are very tired.

This is a proper motel with a (Chinese) restaurant. It appears to cater to Asian tour groups arriving by bus for travel to the Milford sound. Room was clean and suitable for an over night rest on our way to destination. Town was close enough to walk if the weather cooperated, we drove as it would have been muddy. Plenty of food options.

The front reception desk personnel were friendly and professional. There was ample parking even for SUV type vehicles. The rooms were large enough and clean.

There was a disconnect between what the front reception desk staff said and the catering staff. Especially relating to meal times, The evening meal was hard to order, and the breakfast timing according to the front desk staff was 06:00 to 09:00 hrs, so it was disappointing to arrive for breakfast at 08:15 hrs to see no food and to be met by an indifferent chef who said breakfast was over, and shrugged saying "no body told me" he offered no solutions. So we ate breakfast and all further meals in other nearby cafes and restaurants. It was also noticeable that some maintenance was required as the shower door didn't close properly and paint was peeling on a window sill.
