"Don’t judge a book by it’s cover"

Such a lovely place to stay, it’s older style but so clean and well maintained that it doesn’t matter at all. We stayed two nights - the bed was comfy, the owners were super lovely and our upstairs unit was impeccably clean. My sister always finds something wherever we stay and she was amazed by the high standard of Central Gateway. Would absolutely stay again!

"Lovely Stay"

We stayed for one night while attending a friends birthday party. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and include a cute kitchen. The motel is very clean and well maintained with lovely views from the upstairs rooms and a central location. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

"Excellent"

We had the Cabbana unit which is small and cute. It was a sweltering 30°C on the day we arrived. The unit has no air conditioning which we didnt pick up on whike booking. However, the manager was kind enough to hunt down a pedestal fan which made sleeping somewhat possible that night. Recommend installing air conditioning in that unit, otherwise the unit was good for one night's stay.

"Central accommodation for biking experience "

Biking was our mission. We started in Cromwell and worked our way to the Gold trail, highly recommended, and day trips to Arrowtown and Wanaka. The accommodation was perfect for us😍 allowed us to cook for ourselves, sort our laundry and was close to all the activities we were interested in!

Lovely place to stay. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Heater was turned on in our room before arrival which was awesome. Room was comfy. Very happy.

Fabulous place to stay as previous. Love the locality, people, service, cleanliness. If had one wish it would be for more water pressure. It is extremely low which doesn't make it easy for showering.
