Te Anau Manapouri Lake Hotel

The view of the lake and the mountains was exceptional.

The entire complex was unpainted, scruffy and looked like it was derelict. It seemed that it was more suited to seasonal workers than tourists. It looked like it had been built to house workers at the Manapouri power station when it was being built. A basic kitchen in a separate room was the only cooking facility.

Run down and old

The room had cockroaches, no slips on pillows, tv didn’t work, sheets weren’t clean, no proper parking. Very bad experience. We left without staying and got ripped off $560.

Perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed.

Outside light too bright. TV hopeless.

I thought it was over-priced.

Shower over bath, smokers on verandah within 1 metre of my access door, with ashtray supplied as encouragement to do so.

The beds were comfortable and warm. That’s about it. Very disappointing

The guest kitchen was terrible. Ovens not working and dirty. No cutlery or plates.
