We liked the location

The cost of $325 for a room was way overpriced for the facilities that were on offer. It's extremely tired and breakfast options were limited. The price for one night was the same as the price as our 5 star hotel that we had stayed in at Christchurch and the facilities were nowhere near 5 star. I would say 1 - 2 star max

It had everything you need and a bit more - including a sauna and spa pool, a common lounge for drinks (BYO) with your friends, continental breakfast, board games.

Spa and Sauna really nice addition. The breakfast and lodge area was really cool as well.

Was an empty can left in the room when we arrived which made us think it wasn't that clean. The walls are also very thin, could hear multiple people snoring and talking all night.

Good value and the sauna fits 6 & is hot. This place hasn't been renovated in a long time but is cheap & cheerful. Quick walk to downtown Methven and the cafes & Irish bar.
