*Towels were hard and over washed *Carpet was stained and had many age related marks and holes. *alcohol in bar was very pricey

"Attention to detail probably took away from the great staff and overall feel of the hotel."

The bed was really comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff I talked to at reception, the bar and at breakfast were really friendly and helpful.

The only down side was the slightly out of date bathroom. The mirror probably needs replacing, the radiator needs to be updated to a towel rail and the room itself needs a 'refresh' (paintwork, tiles etc.)

"Needs a big rethink and refurbish"

We liked the location and view.

The bar was terrible, no good lagers and beers on the bar, and when my husband asked for a pint of lager, it was horrible , it had been lying in the lines for ages. It didn't open till 5pm and also no food till then either, all bad , so won't be back.
