Distinction Heritage Gateway Hotel

Stayed here for the location. The rooms were sizeable and had pretty much everything you might need.

The staff were a bit rude on checking in and sent us off site to the local cafe as we were 18 minutes earlier than the check in time. The room had a strange smell that we couldn’t get used to. Everything was very dated including the bed linen. This would all be acceptable if it wasn’t for the cost - at $350 per night you’d expect better.

Liked the location being so close to all the important infrastructure, room size was large.

The noise from the traffic was annoying, the bathroom needs an upgrade, the shower mixer was hopeless and the shower lining has a massive hole in it letting water into the framework i would think, mould in the bathroom, shower over bath not convenient at all. Bed really old and uncomfortable.

Good location

Worst shower ever - very little dribble of water and barely above warm. Would not stay there again No aircon in a hot stuffy room. Not well cleaned.
