Oakdene Guest House

Extremely friendly owners, very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The house was furnished very tastefully and the garden is lovely. Only a few steps away from good restaurants.

Daniel & Sonja were informative & helpful hosts. They provided a very good breakfast. The accommodation was clean & spacious. The location was ideal for the local restaurants & travelling to the Cango Caves.

WiFi reception indoors could have been better.

Fantastic accomodation with plenty of history to go with it. Nice spacious room in a style that fits the history of the property. Only spent one night here but would have been happy to stay longer. Owners live onsite who are very warm and friendly

A friend of ours recommended the Oakdene Guesthouse to us and we ended up being just as impressed as he was. The house made you feel like you were back in the 19th century, everything is from that time, with the amenities of the 21st century. This gave you an impression of what South Africa looked like back then. Our hosts, two Belgian emigrants, were very welcoming. We had a delicious breakfast with homemade bread. The view from the breakfast table into the garden with pool was very nice. Daniel gave us some good tips. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to visit his son's restaurant as it was closed that day. It's called Ebony and Ivory and looked very promising. We would come back.

Very welcoming hosts, Sonia and Daniel. Really interesting historic building, full of character. Great value for money too, given the lovely setting, comfort and tasty breakfast. Daniel and Sonia gave us really useful information about what to visit in the local area, as well as making excellent choices for restaurant reservations.
