Hotel Garcilaso II

Hotel Garcilaso is where you want to stay when visiting the beautiful city of Cusco. Nestled near the Plaza De Armas, it is a quiet, clean and comfortable property with excellent customer service and pleasant amenities. Within walking distance of the main Plaza de Armas as well as all the historical sites within the city limits, this hotel is a winner.

This hotel was selected by a travel company for a fundraising trek in the Andes that I took part in. Cusco is a raw city on the outskirts and its centre is stunning, focused on trekking stores, restaurants and fantastic shops and markets. Hotel Garcialso is very conveniently placed, close to the main squares and easy to find. The room we had was simple, with multiple beds and a shower in the bathroom. We stayed in both hotels durnig our stay and the bathroom in the second was modern and clean while the first was a little tired, but perfectly acceptable. The courtyard was lovely to sit in first thing in the morning and the breakfast was plentiful and pleasant, although the eggs were a little cold. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the wifi, while slow and intermittent, was free. There is a bureau de change nearby and I'd certainly returned if I ever go to Cusco again.

We stayed at the Garcilaso 2 for two out of three nights (with the middle night spent in Aguas Calientes). The location is very convenient for the main square and surrounding area. The hotel staff were helpful, happy to store our luggage while we made the overnight trip to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu and were also kind enough to print our boarding cards for our flight out the following day. Breakfast was similar to other hotels we stayed at, with a simple but tasty selection. Our room was plain but comfortable and the hotel was generally quiet. The central courtyard was attractive.

Garcilasso II has a great location and is comfortable with beautiful interiors (courtyard). Would definitely come back. Only downside was that the street outside was noisy and the door leading to the balcony was not exactly sound proof

If you’re looking for a place to crash, this is it. Nothing fancy. You won’t get an experience out of it. Very centric, 1 minute away from the main square, which is pretty good. It’s kind of old but clean. Water pressure in the shower sucks. Just an ok place to spend the night.

Good location. Hotel is very old and bed is very uncomfortable. The carpet and bed bed are old and shelly. In the morning there are kids playing in the playground and make a lot of noice.

Wonderful hotel. No glitters but clean and excellent staff. Quadruple room is a good choice for 3 persons and s larger and only 5-10 percent more expensive. Clean bathroom and linen.

Staff is amazing very friendly , I landed in Cuzco without knowing that I need to pre book my tickets of train to Macha picchu , neither was my hotel booked in Cuzco , this hotel rescued me gave me room got my things sorted , I owe it to the staff thank you .
