Braeside Country Inn

Le garçon de l'accueil a fait l'effort de me parler en français et a porté ma grosse valise à l'étage. Le wifi était correct.

Cet hôtel affiche 4 étoiles alors qu'il est du niveau d'un motel 2 étoiles ordinaire. Le confort n'est pas du tout à la hauteur du prix. Le lit craque à chaque mouvement, on entend très bien les ronflements de son voisin, la salle de bain est d'un confort minimal, pas même un éclairage au dessus du lavabo... Quant au petit déjeuner, le café est transparent, les croissants coupés en 2 mais ça tombe bien, on n'a absolument pas envie d'en manger un entier après l'avoir goûté... J'ai payé trop cher pour accepter des petits désagréments.

We loved this characterful old inn that was oozing with history. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.

The breakfast was very basic, not very good quality.

This property is located on high ground with great views over the ocean. It is literally on the edge of the town with an easy 5 minute walk into town and the waterfront. The owners are very welcoming and informative. Although the management offers laundry facilities, we walked into town to the very clean and efficient public launderette. There are several good restaurants on the waterfront and without the need to drive to them there is the opportunity to admire the ocean view whilst sipping wine.
