Hotel Crowded House

Very central for anyone exploring Gallipoli peninsula.

The host Pauly was very accommodating and made our stay very memorable.

The hostel is in a convenient location, close to the restaurant strip and supermarkets. The host was very helpful in organising early morning travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula at 2am, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying

I had a room at front with view of the ferry terminal and the Dardanelles. Staff were very helpful, though most with very minimal English. On the side of the strait with access to the war graves and memorials. Eceabat is a quiet village but plenty of restaurants along the foreshore. DO NOT MISS the excellent feature on the foreshore with bronze sculptures showing that the Turkish and allied troops fought in trenches only 8 metres apart. Also has a walk through representation of the Dardanelles, with relief sculptures showing where mines were laid, and the towns either side of you. Eceabat was where my Anzac Day Dawn service tour commwnced, a short walk from the hotel. Also just a very pleasant ferry ride across the Dardanelles to the larger town of Çanakkale.

Clean room, comfortable bed, decent breakfast. Friendly hosts. They allowed us to hang out in the lobby before leaving for Gallipoli.

Our room was smoky smelling. The bathroom was tiny but adequate.

Great easy to find location. Excellent breakfast.
