"Nice and clean..."

8.0

Room was a typical smaller Japanese hotel room, but nice and clean. Location was a little further from International Street than I would have preferred, but a manageable walk. Monorail station not too far away.

"Weekend in Naha"

8.0

This is my second time at this property and it won't be my last (The first time with my family and second time with my friends). It does seem a little dated but the cleanliness, staff, location and price all make up for it. I will continue to stay here everytime I go to Naha. 15 minute walk to Kokosai Street or there are cabs everywhere.

Stayed one night. Front desk spoke a bit of Japanese but wasn't super friendly. No real problems. Very affordable.

"basic hotel within short distance to the piers..but exceptional helpfull staff!!"

6.0

If you are planning a trip to the smaller islands like tokashiki then this hotel is in a convenient location. To be honest, the rooms are quite poor and even a non smoking room has a strong smell of cigarettes. If this would be only criteria I would rate the hotel as max two stars, but for me this is not. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they will help you to reach the attractions you want. We forgot our daughters pillow to our hotel room when we left to tokashiki island. We then called to the hotel to ask if they can keep the pillow so we pick it up when coming back fro mthe islands. They offered to send it to the hotel in tokashiku and indeed they really did. This was an exceptional customer service. Great thanks for this!! Hotel has also complimentary breakfast and free wifi in the lobby,

"The breakfast tips this choice in favor of a very good rating"

8.0

I found Hotel Cresia on Trip Advisor and thought due to its favorable ratings, it would be a good bet to stay here. This is my second visit to this area near the Miebashi rail station and I can also make a fair comparison with the Hotel Blion. The price will probably win you over as it was about $45/night. It is located even closer to Miebashi station (5-7) minute walk than the Blion which is closer to 15 minutes away. The Blion is modern, new and the rooms are very well appointed. Whereas, the Cresia is a nice mature lady in need of a new wardrobe. The rooms are simple, clean, quiet and bare bones. The Blion was just the opposite...modern and hip. There was no iron nor hair dryer, but they gave a free wifi router which you can take to your room to use...nice touch. I was thinking that this place is just so-so until I went to breakfast this morning...the Hipster Blion was sheer basic salad and rice balls, but they had coffee and tea. On the other hand...the Cresia had a full breakfast which if you are on a budget can be a real bonanza...i loved the Japanese breakfast and that won me over. This meal can sustain you well into the evening. More staff here could speak English than at the Blion where no one spoke any English. It was helpful as my Japanese is quite rudimentary. You can walk to Kokusao Dori (International Street) which is the tourist hub in Naha if you like shopping, but it is over a mile. The months of May to August and probably even later will drain you because of the heat and humidity. So the toss up is accommodation or food/glamor over sustenance. It's your choice and only a few dollars separate the two establishments.
