Hotel Abbaye Ecole de Soreze

très beau site; restaurant d'un excellent rapport qualité prix, très bon petit déjeuner; au calme. La chambre tradition et sa salle de bains sont petites, pas de clim, lit en 140 selement et collé à un mur, dommage...

Grosse surprise en arrivant à 16H impossibilité de manger à l'hotel, restaurant complet!!!!!! c'est la première fois que ça nous arrive. Aucun rangement dans la salle de bain pour déposer les affaires, rapport qualité prix très médiocre pour ne pas dire mauvais. Par contre excellent accueil, grande disponibilité du personnel, excellent petit déjeuné.

Lieu et personnel accueillants. Chambre agréable ( aile des pères) avec belle salle de bain qui donnait sur une petite rue de la ville. Petit-déjeuner bon et copieux dans belle salle de restaurant. Nous étions déjà venus mais notre chambre était plus petite (aile des frères) et la salle de bain moins agréable.

Beautiful old building with splendid and vast gardens to walk through. Rooms were pleasant but there was no air conditioning and the room was particularly warm. The bathroom was a little small, but we had chosen the most basic room. The staff were very helpful and the spa facilities are numerous. Secure parking is available, but ask at the reception for the code. Would happily stay again.

Conquis lors de notre passage l'an dernier, nous sommes revenus et n'avons pas été déçus. Nous avions opté cette année pour la suite, et sommes venus avec des amis qui ont été également conquis. Personnel très serviable, très bon restaurant aux tarifs très abordables pour ce type de prestations. Nous reviendrons, c est certain!

L'abbaye Ecole de Soreze est un endroit plein d'histoire où les murs raisonnent des cris d'enfants et des prières des moines. Malheureusement le patrimoine se marie mal avec la modernité et lme confort reste sommaire. On ne va pas là bas pour cela alors... Par contre Soreze est un village mort. Si vous arrivez un dimanche soir prévoyez un sandwich les restaurants sont fermés et le seul ouvert est sur réservation (il faut le savoir). Par contre à quelques kilomètres de là au bord du lac de St Ferreol un charmant restaurant "au bord de la riviére" vous tend les bras. Personnel très sympathique et cuisine du terroir très honnête.

Thus could be a wonderful hotel if a major refurbishment took place. The building is lovely, we upgraded to a suite which was large overlooking the courtyard but had major cracks in the walls and the front door frame was partly missing. It was poorly decorated with awful bathroom and the plumbing was very noisy, the noise when flushing the toilet nearly blew our heads off! The bed was very uncomfortable with poor quality bedding. We can't comment in the food as we decided against eating there after reading the poor reviews. There was a very nice restaurant a short distance away. It would take a vast amount of cash to turn this hotel into what it could be, it is a beautiful building in a lovely location, such a shame.

Accueil sympathique. Les chambres auraient besoin d'être mieux entretenues : peinture défraîchie, stores casses et hors d'age, fenêtre non peinte depuis des lustres, insonorisation inexistante, personnel d'étage peu soucieux de la tranquillité des lieux. Restaurant correct et demi pension de bon rapport qualité/prix.

The first room we had was a standard room with a lovely view over parklands but unfortunately we experienced some noises from the toilet system I guess because it is a old building however we were moved to another room which was very satisfactory. It was disappointing not to have tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer but I believe that is normal in France. Staff spoke English and were very helpful. Enjoyed the warm quiet swimming pool. Soreze is a very quaint sleepy village which is very interesting but you need to travel for restaurants etc.
