Easter Island Ecolodge

Adequate facilities, large room with good shower. Pleasant and helpful staff

Stayed at Easter Island Eco Lodge. Found the staff to be warm and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and a good selection for breakfast. A great place to stay as situated in a central location. We had tuna steak for lunch - lovely!

Great location, a couple minutes walk to town. Basic room, good breakfast included. Can even walk to the airport in twenty minutes if needed, Expensive transfers from airport though, $40 each way- we walked to airport ( top of main st, in twenty minutes one time to check something. Reception people helpful :)

I checked in Hotel Rapa Nui now Eco Lodge previously Chez Joseph at Easter Island on 22nd May flying from India for 2 days. There is only one flight daily from Santiago reaching Easter Island around 12 noon. The Hotel receptionist a local lady was very rude and refused to check me in till 3 pm. She told me sit but not to use their toilet till checked in .I had booked the hotel 6 months back for proper location but never faced such rude behaviour by an untrained receptionist any way in the world ! During my 3 days I never saw a smile on her face, refused to contact the manager -a kind and understanding gentle man who helped me a lot. On the last day I requested to check out at 12 noon as my flight was at 3 pm. She nearly threatened me to call the police if I do not leave by 11am. I have never felt so humiliated in life and wished had stayed in a better hotel. It serves group tours, great location, have all the basic facilities but a DANGEROUS HYPOTHYROID RECEPTIONIST (She looks sick, fat, dull and of irritating nature and as a doctor by profession I felt she requires medical investigation ) who can spoil a tour. There was the great manager too, who reached me to the Airport, garlanded me and gave a healing touch to the wound left on me by the untrained lady receptionist . In Tourism behaviour is a great asset. Otherwise my visit to Easter Island & South America was excellent for 25 days.Take Care

Good location close to town but rooms very hot. Unable to leave windows open as they were unscreened and mosquitoes were a problem made for an uncomfortable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Ecolodge. The room was large and comfortable.

This hotel is situated in a lovely garden setting, our room was at the top level and we could see the ocean from our patio, chickens roamed the property and were very friendly. A traveller must realize that Rapa Nui is very layed back and a very unique experience, luxuries are not a priority. The Eco Lodge is clean, met all our needs, the staff are very friendly and try their hardest to to help out with any request.

Central location in town with very nice breakfast and good coffee. The motel is 60's construction and needs update. We liked the quiet and tropical feel siting on our porch. We would stay there again

We did not stay here .. we were notified that our room was unavailable, but were transferred to excellent hotel overlooking the moai site Tahi at no change in proce ..
