Berksoy Hotel

The hotel is Close to the city center. It is a Quiet and peaceful place. The Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very kind and friendly. We have dinner there and the food was average, could be better.

Good road stop, but not for a long stay. Most rooms seem to have been recently renovated. Pool and dinner by the pool was nice. Breakfast was disappointing, and there is a noisy meyhane next to the hotel. We had planned two nights but decided to leave it at one.

The Berksoy has received some poor reviews in previous years, but recent renovations have made it as nice as any place that we stayed during our recent trip to Turkey. The rooms are relatively large and nicely decorated, and the pool is larger than in most hotels, long enough for good lap swimming. They also had satellite TV with hundreds of channels; this was the only hotel in Turkey where we found this service. The breakfast buffet offered a bit less selection than some others, but it was still more than adequate. The lack of a lift is a potential problem, but the staff was good about helping with suitcases. There was a wedding around the pool in the evening that included loud music, but it didn't run too late. The hotel is located outside the main area of Bergama, but it's not a town with a lot of night life, so it doesn't really matter. The location is great if you plan to leave Bergama the next morning, as it's on the south side of town on the road that leads to the highways. Why pay double the price to stay in Izmir if you want to see the wonderful ruins of Pergamum? Stay in town and get to the site ahead of the tour groups driving in from out of town! PS: The teleferique appears to be the only way to reach the Pergamum acropolis now--the road was blocked off--but it only cost 10 lira (about $5.50) for a round-trip, and the ride was worth every penny!

A group of 30 teachers stayed here including myself for 6 days and I found this hotel very nice. Very clean, nice bathroom and a nice room. Found the bed firm for my liking. This hotel does not have a lift if you have heavy luggage. A very good pool which we used.

We spent one night in this property and found it to be very good. The room was large and clean. The lighting was very good and overall had quite a modern feel to it. We ate in the hotel and our meal was excellent and very well priced. The service was very good. We asked for a wake-up call which we did not receive. There was an odor of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel but we were soon to find that this was very common throughout our tour of turkey. Most hotels do not have non-smoking rooms.

We stayed here as part of a university tour group and were simply passing through for the night. It is located very close to Pergamon. The hotel was very accommodating and the rooms were quite nice, yet understated. I did not notice any renovations, so it is possible that they have been completed. This is the sort of motel you arrive later in the day and leave early in the morning from. They have a bar that is outside the hotel building itself, that was quite lively. They also have a pool that did not have water in it when we visited but would be nice in summer. The breakfast was adequate, although there were not lavish choices. The dinning room is quite large and comfortable. I was quite happy with the set dinner they provided our group and they prepared us a set dinner that was quite appetising. This hotel as a road stop is excellent, however do not expect luxury.

we stayed here during ramazan bayram and chose it because it has quite a big swimming pool, so we could discover for ex the historical sites of bergama in morning and enjoy the pool later. Hotel is somewhat situated outside of the coty, but tere are some restaurants nearby if you do not want to eat in the hotel. We took breakfast and diner in the hotel and were satisfied with it. part of the attraction (if you want....) is in the summer that there are most likely weddings either in hotel or around, so it may not be quiet at 10pm... It didn't keep us up however, and we had a big room where kids and parents had separate place. Good standard of the room and sufficient place, we paid 80 eur per night with breakfast.
