La Isla Resort

Lovely location just right in front of the beach. Staff were helpful, amazing and patient even though they hardly knew English. It is bit away from the town, so will need a car hire or cab/tours to reach your destinations. Bus frequency is god as well. Swimming pool closes as 6, but private beach time till 8pm. The resort staff splly - Manuela,Mattiu, Annalisa &Angela - u guys were too helpful and amazing. Best wishes. We friends had a great time in your resort and Salerno, exploring Amalfi coast, Paestum and Pompeii..

Me (25) and my partner (23) booked a weekend away for bank holiday weekend to Italy last minute. The holiday itself was lovely! We managed to get loads done as we knew it was a weekend spent exploring/doing touristy things. The weather was beautiful for the weekend, we were lucky. However we were disappointed in the hotel. It brought a downer on the holiday. We read the reviews and everyone said how lovely the hotel was so we assumed that the hotel would be perfect! We were looking forward to being able to relax a little while we were there, however we weren’t aware that the pool and private beach would be shut. We paid for bed and breakfast but the breakfast was disappointing. Only a few little bits, not filling at all! The service was poor as their English wasn’t very good. We struggled to communicate with the staff. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were flat as pancakes. Me and my partner didn’t get a good night sleep on all 3 nights we were there. The air con didn’t work which meant we had to have the window open which meant flies and mosquitoes were coming in and disturbing us in the night. Because we struggled to communicate with staff they weren’t able to help us with the air con. On the plus side, the bedrooms were clean and every morning they tidied the room and changed the sheets. We thought maybe we booked the holiday out of season but you’d think that it’s just been the Easter holidays and with the summer holidays approaching the pool and private beach wouldn’t be shut and they’ve have more going on? Also we paid lots of money to get taxis to the train station and to other destinations. Turns out we could have got a bus which would have been much cheaper. If the staff could understand us then maybe they could have let us know? I’m giving this hotel a 2 star - disappointed.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating which made our stay very pleasant. The restaurant was open and had local produce and wines featured.

The beds were somewhat harder than we are accustomed to but maybe we are just getting old and cranky!

they turned the power off in the room from about 1:00 to 8:00 in the morning. I was at the desk inquiring at 5. the AC was off of course and we opened the windows but then the flies came in. and the traffic noise started early. The night manager said he had to call the electrician but overall I think it was a cost saving measure. by the time it came back on I had already dressed in the dark. bed was also uncomfortable.

The location was very good, not only to go to the beach, mas also to explore places nearby (Salerno, Paestum, ...). We only needed to cross the road to go to the private beach. The breakfast was good.

The illumination of the room was too dim. The disposition of the bathroom could be better (there was a lot of "empty useless space" and the shower booth was too small...),
