Sandaway Suites & Beach

Beautiful location, considerate staff, lovely basket left at door each morning

Fresh bakery and fruit would be nice in the mornings rather than all pre packaged food but it was a lovely stay

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Sandaway hotel on the waterfront with a private beach in Oxford, Maryland. We were surprised with a welcome bag with treats at our water view room with a king size poster bed. Oxford is charming small town with beautiful homes and gardens. We strolled on brick-lined sidewalks on the tree-lined streets enjoying ice cream cones and viewing the historic homes and blooming roses, peonies, irises, clematises, etc. We had a private picnic on the lawn and watched a beautiful and peaceful sunset over the Tred Avon River. We enjoyed relaxing baths with bubble soap from the hotel. We played a fun Scrabble game in the tinned ceiling sitting room. In the morning, we were served with a CoffeebySeven grab bag including a thermos bottle of hot coffee. We ended our stay with a stroll on the Strand by the water with more views of the homes and gardens, marinas, and boats.

I would have liked an option to choose the room I wanted

We wanted a babymoon within 2-hours drive of our house and on the water, and Sandaway fit the bill perfectly. It's a peaceful, serene location where you can just relax. Just be aware that if you want more to see/do/explore, you'll need to drive. There's only one restaurant in Oxford (about a 15-min walk and on the water, great live music!), an ice cream shop, a coffee shop, and a little market, but that's it. This didn't bother us at all, as we went for what they 'didn't' have, so to speak, and St. Michael's and Easton are close enough drives. If you stock up on provisions (beverages, wine, takeout) before you arrive, you'll have no problems.

The fridge was loud and not very cold. Not a huge deal though

Tres bel emplacement pres de l’arrivée du ferry. Self check inn efficace, place de parking. Jolie suite confortable avec vue splendide, très belle salle de bains, frigo, micro-ondes., cafetière..Thermos de café devant la porte le matin

Petit déjeuner pas très healthy, pas de jus de fruit, ni fruit.. que des viennoiseries très sucrées sous vide.

A big comfy bed to watch the sunrise each morning & sitting by the water to watch the sunsets. Simplicity.
