SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh Bakery Square

The room, breakfast and common areas exceeded my expectations. It’s located close to a Target for last minute things you may have forgotten. The parking garage was a bit confusing to navigate but didn’t really have an impact on the trip.

Very convenient and located near shops and restaurants.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Good clean room, quiet, except for a very loud air conditioning unit.

This is a very nice property. The parking garage was clean, well-lit, secure, and super easy to access the hotel. The lobby is very nice and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's in an awesome area with plenty to eat and do just steps from the door. I wanted to love this hotel but the room had some cleanliness issues and that is a hard line for me. Overall the room was nicely designed. But it definitely appears as though the cleaning is rushed through and a lot of things are missed. The comforter had a nasty brown stain on it - not sure what it was and didn't want to find out. One of the trash cans had something nasty spilled/dried in the bottom of it, below the bag. The shower floor was stained and dirty. The air conditioner had mold growing in it. The couch had stains on it. The mattress did not have any sort of mattress cover between the sheet and mattress. Many hotels are using mattress covers to prevent bed bugs, it's a bit unnerving to see one missing. None of these things by themselves would have been a big deal, but all of them together did not leave me with a good feeling about cleanliness. The whole room just felt kind of grimy and could stand for a deep, thorough cleaning. Based on this stay I will likely not return to this property.

I love Bakery Square. Also, the staff here is wonderful. They are very helpful and friendly.
