Wood Castle

I had stayed at Wood Castle in Jan 2023 and at that time room service was not available at the property. That was my only grievance at that time. Thankfully, this time room service was available. Since I was travelling alone, and it was not always possible for me to go out for meals, this was a huge factor for my stay. The staff are extremely polite. Check in was smooth and hassle free. Kitchen staff were always polite and smiling. I was worried about safety, but never for a moment did I feel even remotely unsafe. I was unwell during my entire stay and one of the days I was down with severe diarrhea. Upon my request, the staff very promptly bought me medicine and later asked about my health. Food was delicious. Tea, specially was very good. The hotel is located at a residential area so feels safe and secure. Area is barricaded at night for extra safety. Metro station is 3-4 minutes walking. Cabs are easily available. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend staying here.

Area is barricaded at night, so if you have an early morning flight and have to leave at dark, cabs may not come till the hotel. You will have to walk with your luggage till the main road, which is 1-2 minutes walking. The switch for the geyser in my room was so high in the bathroom, that I had to stand on top of the commode and switch it on and off. A bit unsafe, specially when alone.

- breakfast took a little longer but wasn't a problem for us - the water didn't get fully warm, but to be fair I didn't ask for them to fix it as it didn't bother me too much

We got a welcome reception from the hosts and the room was clean. Boiler for hot water didn’t work at first but it was fixed really quickly. Food was good.

-The room did not have any windows. -Staff was friendly but a bit pushy when it came to changing our itinerary and selling us a tour -slightly overpriced

The staff spoke very good English. The hotel was relatively clean compared to others I have stayed at in India. The location is ok in relation to other areas of Delhi.

The hotel is on a side street, the street has a lot of wild dogs on it and Uber/ola we’re not able to come to the front of the hotel, meaning you have to walk down a dark side street avoiding the dogs. The hotel was clean but not impeccable. There were no windows in the room. The tv is limited to only Hindi channels.

Small family hotel,nice and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, excellent service. Offers help tours all over Northern India.
