Hotel Seagate

We had a wonderful stay at Seagate during our visit to Velankanni Church. The entire experience was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location of the property is excellent, making it very convenient to access nearby places, especially the church. We also really appreciated the in-house restaurant, which served delicious food throughout our stay. Overall, we are very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend Seagate to anyone visiting Velankanni. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

The details shown are not correct. We booked a deluxe room, but proper toiletries are not provided (only soap is available). The bathroom was not shown in the pictures. The bathroom fittings are damaged and not functioning properly. There is no proper water flow in the wash basin. The refrigerator is also not working.

The location and the swimming pool

The staff are money minded and take commision from the customers if you request for change of room or upgradation. They simply take money from strangers for the swimming pool access without checking the credibility and this creates a lot of inconvenience for the customers ..they just collect money and let the swimming pool to overflow with strangers and finally you just get space to stand in the pool and do nothing . For the first 2 days the room service will be prompt and then you will be provided service only if you give them some money or tips, if not then they don't sevice your room or don't respond when you reach out. Another worst experience is the food quality served in their in house sea gate restaurant, I ordered onion uthappam for morning breakfast and they served it where the batter had already spolit and it tasted so sour, when questioned they act like checking with the cook and then they come back and advise us to order something else, basically they try to stuff the remainings of batter of previous night to the customers in the morning for breakfast..Also the prefer cash payment in the restaurant rather than the card , they give excuses that the machine is not working etc..so worst experience overall..simply to say that if your keep paying so e good tip then you are treated royally if not they least bother to serve or respond to you..the staff between both the buildings sea gate resort and sea gate hotel work on commission sharing by folling the customers. Truly disappointing experience when they say they are 3 star hotel. The Mary Land hotel just opposite to this hotel is 100 times much better and value for money.
