Flamingo Rocks

I like that the property is only a 3-minute walk from the beach. I wish it had an ocean view, but it's not the owners' fault that someone built a gigantic mall in front of it! I love the breakfast they provide - so many options! I chose to have a bit of everything - some fruit, some yoghurt, a pastry with jam/cheese, eggs, juice, coffee, sausages and baked beans. The staff and manager will do their best to honour any special requests (I needed a walk-in shower as due to some neuropathy in my feet I was scared I would fall getting out of the high bath). They provide a safe for any valuables but I honestly never even felt like I needed it - staff never touched anything when cleaning except to neaten things up. The three ladies working there when I was there were Thokozile, Thendi and Thandeka. They were lovely and I can't wait go back and see them again!

Honestly, the only thing was the lack of a sea view - but the place was built before the mall that now stands in its way. It's still great value for money and a great, welcoming place!

It’s clear to the malls and it’s safe and the staff is friendly.

The bathtub and walls in the shower were dirty,no one checked on us during the day,the bathroom floor was always wet and we needed a mop but we couldn’t find anyone

Breakfast was great - exactly as stated, there was fruit, yoghurt, cereal and I was given my cooked breakfasts to my exact specifications (fried eggs and sausage on Saturday and a mushroom omelette on Sunday). I was impressed that they had filter coffee as well as juice and tea. It was only three minutes walk from the location to a small Mall for supper and 5 minutes from the main beach.

The only thing that annoyed me was not in their control - the Woolworths nearby continued to be loading something (continuous banging noises until midnight on Friday).
