Budget Inn of Okeechobee

Was supposed to be a room for a disabled person. Large steps to check in and Large steps to get into room. No ADA RAILS IN BATHROOM AND STANDARD TOILET IN A CLOSET SPACE.. cramped space 1 person yet alone more. Room was no larger than a shed. Stayed for an hour and left a 4 hour drive back home. Total waste of money. Can I get a refund. Won't use this site again. False referral service. VERY DISAPPOINTED person.

My worst experience since the last century. Filthy dirty. Derelict drinking and smoking at front door with....one of two clerks. The nice one. The rude one said that after paying Trip Advisor $129, I would have to pay $112 to get the room. TA advertises clean new pictures, and a pool. No Pool. So I lost $129, and my spring break mini vacation was delayed. Budget called TA twice. It was obvious TA knew the conditions There and lack of the TA advertised pool. Sad booking, sadder place.

Rooms listed as “newly renovated”. Well, not room 102. Pictures were off the walls and the room quite needed a paint job. Had to ask for hairdryer as room did not come with one as it was supposed to as per the ad. The only great thing was getting to check in early (11am) as we were tired after our red-eye flight from LAX to Orlando.

So I barely write reviews I’m more of a call them up and b”$?ch about something. But anyways I come to work often here in okeechobee and I have stayed at a few hotels. Holiday Hampton Flamingo 🦩 but last few times at budget inn were not great but my son and I arrived a little late back to town and I said F it I’m not paying $100 plus for 8 hours and all I’m gonna do is sleep. So I tried the budget inn again. Well IM glad I did. Beverley was the girl who checked me and my son in. She was so polite and so friendly!! A pretty face and big smile!! (Hope she sees this). The room which I’ve stayed in before was clean and smelled great!! This morning when I checked out it was early but she already had coffee ready and when I turned in my key cards I asked if the hotel was under new management and she said why yes it is I’m the new manager. I said well it shows!! THANK YOU FOR A HOSPITABLE STAY BEVERLEY. ILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!!

The lady at the desk was very nice. She directed us to our room. When we turned down the bed, a woman's earring was in the bed, and pubic and other hairs were in the sheets. Clearly the bed had been used briefly and left to appear as if it had been cleaned. There was also hair on the blankets covering both beds. We were moved to another room that was not much better. Beds appeared clean, but used soap in the shower and not enough towels. We asked for more but could not get them since housekeeper was not there. This little motel used to be clean, but has clearly been neglected. Compared to other accommodations in town, it's relatively cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. Spend a little more and get a clean room.

My husband and I wish to commend property manager Chenara and Lupe for making us feel at home. Although this Budget Inn is part of a large chain it is run much like a mom n pop, cozy, clean and with all that you need. Also the parking lot very well lit so we felt safe. One of the greatest things this hotel has, is, LOCATION. It is at the center of Okee city and two blocks walking to downtown strip for a mom n pop breakfast at Gladys that all the locals enjoy. Another great thing about this specific Budget Inn, is the incredible low price, compared with other hotels near by. We truly recommend this homey Budget Inn.

Spent several nights was there for business. Old place but looks like some up grades. The bed was fine slept well, TV was old but got enough channels and WiFi worked nicely .The lady inside the office was nice. I like a hot shower after working hard but lukewarm does not cut it. Had tons of pressure but come on. The soap was so thin only had one side and no shampoo. The free breakfast was like dollar tree stuff glad McDonald's was right around the corner.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was as good as it gets for the price. They have different sized rooms. I previewed the room and wasn't pleased with the size as we had some sorting of luggage to do. I was then given a great room, clean and roomy. All appliances worked. Will stay here again if in the area.
