Barbican Reach Guest House

Sue & Rob were very welcoming and very helpful with all sorts of tips about where to eat and what to do. They were also very helpful with the parking. The B&B is located perfectly right by all the action in the old town without the inconvenience of the noise. It was perfect also for catching the water taxi the next day at the marina.

I booked this stay last minute due to a work commitment, and I was so impressed with how smooth and responsive the communication was, even on such short notice. Upon arrival, I received a lovely warm welcome and was shown to my room, which was absolutely spotless. There were thoughtful touches everywhere — a great selection of complimentary hot drinks, a fridge with cold milk, and even a fan provided, which was perfect as it was a particularly hot evening. Everything I could have needed was taken care of without me having to ask. I had an amazing night’s sleep in a comfortable bed, followed by a hot, refreshing shower in the morning. To top it all off, I received a kind and friendly farewell from the owner. Highly recommend this stay — efficient, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. A real gem!
