The room was newly refurbished and comfortable especially the bed. The en-suite was clean but rough around the edges. The finish was poor and the seal on the shower side was broken. The restaurant was nice and the food was good. They catered for gluten free reasonably well. We had to go to the sister hotel down the road for breakfast. We were the only ones there, but the breakfast was nicely cooked to order. Parking was easy and near to the room for carrying luggage.

Currently they do not offer breakfast on the property but at amother hotel close by. Clean modern, off road parking excellent shower

Overall my son and I had a pleasant stay, unfortunately the chef was unavailable so we didn’t have a full experience. Having said that we do intend a return visit

Stayed here a few years ago and it was a lot better. Standards aren’t as high now. Still an ok stay.

Everything about mystaywasexcellent from the massive bed to the 42inch t on the wall. Couldn’t fault it.

Bar & restaurant closed when asked. Was told bar closed due to COVID, restaurant closed by council. When asked told to go to a named pub, 10 min walk, who advised no food at most places on Mon/Tues. Did call 2 restaurants, no tables. Fish n chip van in lay-by. Return to hotel 19,45, door closed, no one on reception, had to let ourselves in. No water in room, as no bar or restaurant or reception, not even a glass of water available. A basic human requirement. Room literature stated bar/restaurant closed, but no list of alternative places for dinner or breakfast. No one at reception for checkout so unable to complain. Very disappointed. Would not recommend especially after a 600 mile journey of of holiday.

Paying full hotel prices for a room and a bathroom only.
