Staff lovely. Easy to find. Lots of parking. 24hour cafe attached so no problem if restaurant has closed. Good breakfast. Excellent for price. Not far from Bamburgh.

Room neighbours very noisy. To be fair they had young children, but letting them keep banging, shouting and screeching from 6am was a little annoying for an hour until they left for breakfast at 7am. But not the hotels fault, unless they soundproof each room.

"Don't let your first impression fool you."

8.0

A perfect position for an overnight stop, Just off the A1 with a reasonably priced fuel station next door. Absolutely no road noises and the views were lovely from the bedroom window. We had no heating on and their was a ground frost, the room stayed at 18c all night, perfect.

First impression was oh my god but that was soon dismissed.
